O taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8
Welcome to sweet Word bakery!
I am thrilled you chose to stop by for a special sweet treat. Please allow me to introduce myself to you: my name is Rosemary Privée. I was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska and moved to Texas after graduating high school. I moved to Arlington and attended Arlington Baptist College. Since then, I’ve moved a few times within the Great State of Texas and currently reside in Irving.
I learned to bake from various people and places, one being my mom. I remember when I was a young girl, my mom and I made an apple pie, and mixed the apples and “secret” ingredients in a brown paper sack, and it was fun! I do not do it that way now, but it is a good memory. Looking back, I feel sorry for my dad! He ate every “flop” I ever made, but he did not complain. Thankfully, he now enjoys the best desserts ever! Most every time I go back to Nebraska, I take a baked good, and sometimes bake when I am there.
God gave me the desire to bake and the talent to do it well. It doesn’t mean it is all perfect, but it does mean it is all good. In the past few years God laid on my heart to open a bake shop. I prayed about it and thought about it, and well, here I am! My wonderful husband, Dave, supports me in this and I could not, nor would I, do this without his wonderful assistance and support. The recipes are mostly from my childhood. However, when I decided to start this process, I began asking family and friends for their all time family favorites. As recognition to family and friends, I added their names to the cake recipes they were willing to share with me. I hope you enjoy eating them as much I have making them.
God laid this journey in front of me, and I am walking the path behind Him. Along with the desire to start a bakery, God gave me the verse, the name for the bakery, and the logo. The verse, Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Jesus is the bread of life and the living water. There is nothing sweeter to a hungry and thirsty soul than Jesus. Please know, Jesus has a sweet Word for you, thus the name sweet Word bakery. The logo is an empty cross as Jesus is no longer hanging on the cross. He is alive and is seated at the right hand of God! He came down from the cross just for you. Please allow me to leave you with this one important question: if you were to die today, where would you spend eternity? If you do not know the answer to that question, lets chat! Or you can watch “The Whole Story” by John Meador, Pastor of First Euless Church.
Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to baking for you, your family, and your friends.
